Transfer a domain to Faastic
Updated 7 November 2026
Moving a domain to us keeps it registered without a gap, and you don't lose the time you already paid for at your old registrar.
Before you start
- Unlock the domain at your current registrar. A locked domain can't be transferred, and the transfer fails straight away.
- Get the transfer code (also called auth code or EPP code):
- For a .be domain, request it from DNS Belgium at dnsbelgium.be/en/transfer-code. They email it to the domain holder's address, from
no-reply@dnsbelgium.be. It looks like123-456-789-012-345and is valid for 7 days. - For other extensions (.com, .eu, .nl and so on), your current registrar gives you the code, usually in their control panel.
- For a .be domain, request it from DNS Belgium at dnsbelgium.be/en/transfer-code. They email it to the domain holder's address, from
- Check the holder details. The name on the domain must match. If it was registered under a nickname or an old company name, fix that at your current registrar first, or the transfer can be refused.
Start the transfer
- In the dashboard, open Domains and click Register or transfer a domain.
- Enter the domain, choose Transfer and paste the transfer code.
- Pay. The transfer starts as soon as the payment is in.
How long it takes
- .be transfers are usually done within minutes.
- .com and most other extensions can take up to 7 days. The old registrar sometimes sends the holder an email to approve the transfer. If someone rejects it there, the transfer stops and we let you know.
Avoid downtime
A transfer doesn't change your DNS by itself. To keep your website and email running, either leave the nameservers as they are for now, or point them to us before you start. See Point your domain to our nameservers.
When it doesn't work
- "Incorrect transfer code": codes expire, and a new request makes the old code invalid. Request a fresh one and send it to us in a ticket.
- Domain in quarantine or expired at the old registrar: it can't be transferred the normal way. Open a ticket. For a .be domain we can sometimes still move it through DNS Belgium. That costs extra, and we'll tell you how much first.
- Nothing happens after a few days: open a ticket under Support with the domain name and we'll check where it's stuck.
