Transfer a domain away from Faastic
Aktualisiert 7. November 2026
You can move a domain to another registrar whenever you like. The time you already paid for carries over to the new registrar.
1. Unlock the domain
- In the dashboard, open Domains and click the domain.
- Under Transfer lock, click Unlock.
While the domain is locked, no one can transfer it, and for a .be domain DNS Belgium won't even send a transfer code. Unlocking is safe: the domain can only move with the transfer code.
2. Get the transfer code
For a .be domain, the code comes from DNS Belgium, not from us:
- Request it at dnsbelgium.be/en/transfer-code.
- DNS Belgium emails it to the domain holder's address, from
no-reply@dnsbelgium.be. It looks like123-456-789-012-345and is valid for 7 days. - No email? Check your spam folder. Still nothing, or is the holder address an old one you can't reach anymore? Open a ticket and we'll correct the address and request a new code.
For other extensions (.com, .eu, .nl and so on), click Reveal auth code on the domain's page. If it says no code is available yet, wait a few minutes and try again, and check that the domain is unlocked.
3. Start the transfer at the new registrar
Enter the transfer code there. A .be transfer usually completes within minutes. Other extensions can take up to 7 days.
Keep your website and email running
The transfer moves the registration, not your DNS. If the domain uses our nameservers, your records keep working until you change the nameservers. Set up the records at your new provider first, then switch the nameservers, so nothing goes offline.
