Website settings: PHP version, redirects and SSL
Bijgewerkt 7 november 2026
Each website on your web hosting has its own settings. Open your web hosting in the dashboard, go to Websites and click Manage next to the website.
PHP version
Pick the version under PHP version. The change is immediate. Versions marked end of life no longer get security updates, so move to a newer one when your site supports it. WordPress, for example, warns you when your PHP version is too old.
If something breaks after the switch, pick the previous version again and the site is back as it was.
Redirect a domain to another website
Want old-name.be to send every visitor to new-name.be? Add old-name.be as its own website on your hosting, then:
- Under Domains & redirect, fill in Redirect all visits to, for example
https://new-name.be. - Click Save.
The redirect is permanent (301), which is what search engines expect. Because the domain is on your hosting, you can also give it a free SSL certificate, so https://old-name.be redirects without a security warning.
Leave the field empty and save to remove the redirect.
The redirecting domain counts as a website on your plan (1 on Simple, 3 on Advanced, 25 on Pro). Is it just another name for the same site? Then an alias, below, is the better fit.
Extra domains for the same site (aliases)
Under Domains & redirect, Add alias lets the same website answer on another domain, for example example.eu next to example.be. The alias must point to our server too, or SSL can't be issued for it.
SSL and HTTPS
- Get free SSL requests a Let's Encrypt certificate and renews it automatically. The domain,
wwwand every alias must already point to our server. - Force HTTPS sends every
http://visit tohttps://. Turn it on once the certificate is active. - Use your own certificate if you bought one elsewhere. Paste the certificate and private key in PEM format. Your own certificate doesn't renew automatically, so upload a new one before it expires.
Password protection for a whole site, FTP accounts for a single folder, Page cache, and Statistics & logs with the most recent lines of the access and error log, which help a lot when a site shows an error.
