Point your domain to our nameservers

Bijgewerkt 7 november 2026

Nameservers decide where the DNS records of your domain live: the records that send visitors to your website and mail to your mailbox. To manage those records in our dashboard, or to let us create them for your web hosting, the domain must use our nameservers:

  • ns.faastic.com
  • ns.faastic.be

Domain registered with us

  1. In the dashboard, open Domains and click the domain.
  2. Under Nameservers, enter ns.faastic.com and ns.faastic.be (at least two nameservers are required).
  3. Click Save nameservers.

Domain registered elsewhere

Change the nameservers in the control panel of the registrar where the domain is registered. We can't do that for you, because the domain isn't in our account.

Still using ns1, ns2, dns1 or dns2?

Domains from our old platform may still point to ns1.faastic.com, ns2.faastic.com, dns1.faastic.com or dns2.faastic.com. We're switching those off. Change them to ns.faastic.com and ns.faastic.be. Your records are already on the new nameservers, so nothing gets lost.

How long it takes

Nameserver changes usually work within a few hours, but can take up to 48 hours to reach everyone. During that time some visitors still get the old answers. That's normal.

If your website shows "site can't be reached" right after a transfer or a new order, check the nameservers first. It's the most common cause.

Using your own DNS instead

You can keep your DNS at another provider, such as Cloudflare. Then you manage the records there yourself:

  • Web hosting: point the domain's A records to the IP address shown in your website's settings.
  • Email on our hosting: add the MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records the dashboard shows under Email. At Cloudflare, set every mail record to DNS only (grey cloud). See Gmail can't deliver to my mailbox.
  • Cloud server: point an A record (and an AAAA record for IPv6) to your server's address.
